Partner, Elected As Secretary Of The Family Law Section Of The Florida Bar
Its mission and purpose is to improve the practice and substance of family law throughout the State of Florida. The Family Law Section actively participates in advising and recommending substantive changes in the law to the Florida Legislature, as well as comment and make recommendations regarding the Florida Rules and Forms to the Supreme Court of Florida. The Family Law Section also assists the Court in establishing methods for the consistent, fair and expeditious administration of justice, as well as prepares and organizes educational programs relating to family Law. Overall, the Family Law Section fosters a high standard of ethical conduct, civility and professionalism by all attorneys and judicial officers who participate in the family court system.
Ms. Apicella is a Partner at Gladstone & Weissman, P.A. She is board certified in Marital and Family Law by The Florida Bar. She is a member of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Palm Beach County Bar Association and Broward County Bar Association. Prior to Ms. Apicella recently becoming an Officer on Executive Committee (as the Secretary), she served as 1 of 32 members on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, which is a position she held since 2009. The Executive Council consists of the Executive Committee officers and 32 members elected by the Section. The Executive Council has general supervision and control of the affairs of The Family Law Section subject to the bylaws of the Section.
Ms. Apicella attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S., 2002). She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Law Degree (J.D., cum laude, 2006). Ms. Apicella is a past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association. During her term, she was awarded The Practice Section Chair Award in recognition of her leadership and guidance as The Chair of The Family Law Section. Ms. Apicella was also a founding Barrister of The Susan B. Greenberg Family Law American Inns of Court of the Palm Beaches.
Ms. Apicella was named a 2018 Best Family Law Lawyer – Boca Raton by Best Lawyers in America. She was recognized as a 2016-2018 Top Up and Comer by South Florida Legal Guide, a 2016-2018 Florida Rising Stars by Super Lawyers and in 2015 she was selected by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel as the Nation’s Top One Percent.
