NICOLE VETTE, Associate, is a South Florida native and mother of four. Vette returned home to South Florida in 2016 and continues to focus her work on family related legal issues including complex divorce litigation. As a mother, she knows firsthand the demands of balancing an active family life with a professional one and brings that experience to bear in the marital and family law cases she is assigned.

Vette received her Juris Doctor (summa cum laude) from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, where she was ranked in the top three percent of her class. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Having served as president, vice president and treasurer of the Southwest Colorado Bar Association, Vette organized the First Annual Legal Research Fair in Southwest Colorado and was a board member of Southwest Colorado Volunteer Legal Aid. Vette is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Florida.

Most recently with The Law Firm of Anderson & Baker in Durango, Colo., Vette represented clients in dissolutions of marriage, domestic violence hearings and adoption cases. Experienced in division of complex assets and appeals before the Colorado Court of Appeals, she is proficient in cross examination, has handled numerous contested hearings, and authored several articles on marital and family law that were published in the Durango Herald newspaper.
“Nicole is a rising star in the area of marital and family law who brings diverse talents and significant experience to our practice. We are pleased to have her as a member of our team,” notes Gladstone & Weissman co-founder Peter Gladstone. “She will continue the tradition of excellent, compassionate client service for which our firm is known.”

Prior to Anderson & Baker, Vette was a law clerk for McIntosh, Sawran, Peltz & Cartaya, P.A.; a summer intern with Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld, Karlinksy & Abate, P.A.; and a teaching assistant at the Shepard Broad Law Center of Nova Southeastern University, all in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
